Session 1

The 1st session is over and I remembered that I'm Terrible at rolling dice!

Its started with us being given a feather fall token before jumping off the tallest tower in Sharn to try and catch a small pouch which contained a prize. Multiple things happened on the way down including me crashing into a flock of pigeons and losing my feather fall token in the process! Luckily Trina (a trainee Paladin) glided towards me and grabbed hold to try and cushion the impact. In the final moments Jasper (a Bard) cast feather fall on me and the three of us landed together. Verloren (Artificer/Mage) and Gul (Ranger/Warrior) didn't see any of this as they were way below us so they landed and went for the pouch.

As we gathered our thoughts a Minotaur with a goblin on it's back came out of an ally and fired a magic bazooka at an airship full of nobles, which sent the goblin flying and set the Minotaur on fire! Then 3 Gnolls came around the corner, pointed at Jasper and everything went crazy. The flaming Minotaur charged Jasper before running off the edge of a ledge, the Gnolls were dispatched by the rest of us but then..........

A portal opened and a load of shapeshifters (basically wererats) came out and tried to jab Veloren with stun batons to drag him away. These were a much tougher fight and I ended up getting knocked down along with Jesper. The others managed to defeat them and as is tradition we all retired to the nearest tavern.

Jesper put on a show for the smitten landlady and she told us about recent disappearances in the area which is where we left off.

I tried to lean into my character and how he would act and really enjoyed it, warforged deal with a lot of prejudice in Eberon and Verloren was very frosty towards me which threw me at first, until I remembered its "Role Play" and not personal.

We all got a level up so now I need to learn what Ki does before the next session which is tomorrow!

Pic of painted Mook attached too.

  1. That model fits so well with the back story. Great paint job, too. 👍
